An Extended Vacation...
Jun. 8th, 2020 12:21 amSigma stood at the exact spot where his territory ended.
The Ice Fae...the King of the Mountain could feel where the power of his mother Mountain ended and the rich, warm magic of the valleys beyond began. He stood and waited for a guest he was expecting.
The Xaela was to arrive today. Or so he had said. Sigma have a soft sigh and smiled. The creature was an adventurer...it was how they had met, after all. The King of the Mountain and his band of magical creatures that inhabited these lands had surely seemed like prizes to be conquered...but the Xaela has quickly realized they were merely defending their borders. None of his groups ever left the mountains...unless it was one of the Drakes gone looking for a mate.
Funny.
If all worked out well, perhaps one would come to him.
He and Khaishan had a flirty, friendly relationship. Sigma was not used to being fancied by younger creatures and the poor Xaela had had to be very direct with his intentions. The ice fae always preferred to error on the side of caution in these regards, the last thing he wanted was to be read the wrong way in this area. They had kept in contact after their flirtations and it was clear to him that Khaishan needed an extended vacation. Sigma’s caves full of carefully curated bioluminescent fish and glowing crystals were enough to entice the young adventurer into exploring...and his multiple guest rooms and hot springs did not hinder the situation at all.
Sigma levitated a bit to try to catch a glimpse of his guest arriving and his heart gave a little jump when at last he caught sight of the traveler. He smiled broadly and waved, still not setting foot outside his boundary.
“Khaishan! Welcome! I hope the Road was kind to you. I welcome you and an honored guest to my land and my home.”
A formality, of course...but he was a king who liked to keep up social decorum. He would be much more openly affectionate once they were inside. The Mountain has many pairs of prying eyes.
